It's time for the May updates - they may make your SEO workflow smoother, and they may bring a fresh angle to your analysis :) We're introducing a revamped version of the Volume Trends tooltips, a new KPI, and more.
So let’s get right into it – use the sidebar on the right to jump to a particular update.
Upgraded Volume Trends Tooltips
New improved Volume Trends tooltips are now available for the following metrics: Search Volume + YoY, Quarterly Search Trends, Search Trends, and Click Share.
Besides the new UX-powered & modern design, you'll now get:
an easier to understand display of the Search Volume and Click Share trends.
SERP Features identification for the CTR curves in the Click Share tooltip.
Year-over-Year representation (last 12 months with Month-over-Month volume comparison) in the Quarterly Search Trends and Search Trends tooltips.
Total Click Share KPI
The Total Click Share KPI metric is available for selection in the Click Share drop-down from the Ranking - Keywords view. This will help you estimate the percentage of traffic a website may receive from organic search for the entire keyword set.
Real-time Update Progress
You'll now get a more accurate estimation of how long it takes to update your projects for the first time in the freshly redesigned waiting screen.
Email Updates for Google Algorithm Changes
You now have the option to receive emails from the free Google Algorithm Changes tool whenever the volatility reaches or exceeds a threshold.
This way, you won't miss a single Google significant update since you'll get notified whenever the volatility score jumps over 6 (medium volatility) or 9 (high volatility).
And that’s pretty much it for May! :)
